Send email when existing user becomes part of a FIM Set

    Question

  • Hello All,

This is most likely a really easy thing to do but for some reason I'm experiencing a brain fart today. I need to trigger an email to be sent when an employee's employee status has been switched to Disabled.

I already have an Employee status  dropdown that triggers the enable/disabled rules set up. What I need help with is to create is a set based on "Employee Status" is "Disabled", however when I attempt to do this I get the following error "Filter definition is not permitted."

    Any help would be appreciated

  • Have you checked the Filter Definition? It's under "Home"-->"All Resources"-->"Filter Permissions". Assuming you are doing this as an Administrator, you should be able to just select the EmployeeStatus attribute and add it and it will let you filter. (Though sometimes I have to iisreset first.)

  • Following on from that, there's no reason not to disable the MPR "General workflow: Filter attribute validation for administrator" that I've ever been able to see.

  • In fact, this would be an awesome time and place for someone from the product team to explain exactly what they were thinking of when they created those filter definitions ;)
