    Hello All,

I have published my lotus notes using my IAG appliance.
I am facing a strange issue. When i am sending mail using the lotus published application the attachments, one of them is coming through and rest all are automatically getting deleted. I have set the detection policy to always. I checked the logs in IAG server and no error are coming. But when i try to run same thing without the iag device everything works fine.

Anybody has any idea relating to this.

    Cheers
    Bill

I'm speaking of IAG filter logging on the IAG itself.  After you try the other things I mentioned using montor, and with filtering off altogether, then check the filter logs:

    1. Open the registry editor.
    2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WhaleCom\e-Gap\von\UrlFilter\
    3. Set the value of the LogFlag key to 4
    4. Logging will start within 30 seconds
    5. Recreate problem
    6. Set the value of the LogFlag key back to 0
    7.  Inspect the IAG filter filter log

The IAG filter log are kept in the \whale-com\e-gap\von\conf\websites\<trunk name>\Logs folder for each trunk

I am assuming you are talking about inotes thru IAG, not notes client...

I'd start by looking at web monitor to see if you see anything getting blocked by IAG.  Maybe even go as far as turning off url filing and out of the box rules for that application.  If thats not it, I'd suggest turning on filter logging the registry.  You can then look at the request sent by browser to IAG as compared withe request sent by IAG to DWA to see if IAG is corrupting it somehow or if you see some errors.  You'll also se the response from DWS to IAG and IAG to Browser in teh same log.

    Hope this helps...

    I have the same issue..

Tthe registry logging you are suggesting here, how do we configure that? I found the registry logging for installer or registry change but not pertaining to the web access....How about logging the IIS website of the portal to see the attachment failures...If that wont show the DWA>IAG access logs then please point me to the registry logging you are referring to here.

    Regards

    Hello Mark,

Thanks for the reply and i also did what u asked me to do but that logs are also not showing any error eithers. I am suspecting that the mime type of lotus are creating the problem as they may not be compatible with microsoft.

    Bill,

How big are the attachments that make it through? How big are the attachments that fail to get through? If you open the Application properties for the Lotus Notes application on the "General" tab what are the settings for the "Download" and "Upload"? On the download/Upload tab what are the settings there? Is there a check box for the "Identify by Size".

    Hello Dan,

The attachment are not getting through and no matter what is the size of the attachment.Only one attachment is getting through in ie rest all are cropped :) but when same attachment are send using firefox or any other browser they are coming through. And the General tab we have kept the default settings.
