Hi,
Can I use Microsoft Forefront Protection Server Management Console (FPSMC) 2010 if I have TMG, EDGE and FPES installed on one server?

Hi,
you shouldn't because TMG manages the configuration of FPE. Everytime you make changes to your configuration in FPSMC it will be applied to FPE but after that TMG recognizes the change and overwrites the configuration with the one it has.

This means that I can't use FPE antispam feature in full functionality? Because in TMG no option where I can create filters with subject included. TMG support only Message Body Filters feature and no unique keyword option available.

Hi,
if you integrate FPE in TMG you can't. But there is another way :-)
You can install Exchange Edge and FPE on the same server as TMG but don't integrate it in TMG. So you can manage FPE with FPSMC and TMG won't override the changes you made.

Hi,
Thank you for the post.
“Can I use Microsoft Forefront Protection Server Management Console (FPSMC) 2010 if I have TMG, EDGE and FPES installed on one server?” – No, it is not supported. The following are the environmental considerations:
FPSMC will not install on a server running any other Forefront server product.
FPSMC will not install on a server running any version of Microsoft Exchange Server or Microsoft SharePoint Server

Hi,
I do not think about install FPEC on the one of servers, for this purposes I plan to implement additional server which will service only FPEC.

Hi,
AFAIK installing FPE and Exchange Edge on your TMG without integrating it into TMG is a supported scenario. To manage FPE with FPSMC you have to create firewall rules in TMG to allow the communication.

Hi,
How to disable only FPE integration in TMG? e-mail policy must be active like it's now.

Hi,
you have to disable the email policy in TMG. When the email policy is activated TMG takes control over the configuration of FPE.
