Hi
If I look at Microsoft Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange I see that build number is 11.0.677.0 this means that I have not installed any of Hotfix? Do I need to install them? Also I see that my FPE is 32-bit version. As I know FPE must be 64-bit version.

Hi,
check the following website there you'll find the current build numbers of Forefront products.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/forefront/ff899332.aspx
You should install the latest rollup because they contain hotfixes and updates.
FPE is a 32-bit application that's correct there is no 64-bit version.

I have problem with bare linefeeds and found this topic http://certsrv.ru/exforefrontserver.en/html/047cb9b9-2382-4281-a68b-c01e47ba8db4.htm but in my FPE no such option, therefore I start searching for reasons. In latest Rollup 4 this option is in place?

Hi,
you can change this setting with the following command in the FSE management shell:
Set-FseAdvancedOptions -EnableFixBareCRLF: $true
If you haven't installed the latest rollup you should install it too.

Hi,
After setting Set-FseAdvancedOptions -EnableFixBareCRLF: $true I need restart services or not?

Hi,
I'm not sure but it won't harm to restart the services :-)

If FPE is 32-bit application then why after clicking on latest update for this product I got available HotFix RullUp4 in my case and available update is only for 64-bit
And this site is not up to date therefore using them to check for latest updates are not appropriate- Edited by Arturs_B Tuesday, January 22, 2013 10:09 AM
