Message from webpage (Object error)
-
Monday, December 31, 2012 11:42 PMI get the Message from webpage (Object Error) usually 3 or 4 times if I am logged in or not logged in. Once I get this message, the only way I can continue is to use Ctrl-Alt-Delete and start over again. I operate Windows 7, 64 bit, Internet Explorer 9. I do not have this problem if I use Crome as my browser.

It's because of a browser Extension installed in chrome see if this helps,
After deleting the add-on in chrome or Unchecking the box if still no joy,
Go to Uninstall a program or Programs and features and uninstall Privacy Safeguard.
And possibly look and see if any Program Publishers look suspicious.

Monday, January 07, 2013 5:53 PMThis definitely helped fix the message from webpage object error in my ie 9 installation. It was a Google Chrome add-on problem not IE add-on as I've seen on some websites. Another thread also correctly reported this same fix. The strange thing is that it seemed to start around the time I edited a Sharepoint page but I guess that was just coincedental. Again Thanks!

This add-on is a type of malware as it installs it's self without warning or approval might want to look into a better security suite ?
Freebie from microsoft,
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials
If money isn't an issue add the full pro version of
malwarebytes, less than mcafee or norton,http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
Then use the free version of this as well for even more ways to clean your machine,
http://www.superantispyware.com/?tag=SUPERANTISPYWARE
I have chrome as well and it's not installed.
Thanks for the update and feedback,
Cheers.
FYI,
Uninstall and reinstall Adobe and silverlight products if object error still occurs.
