    Many SharePoint function simply do not work in IE 10. Here are two that I have found already -

    1. Unable to search for the same term twice in a row or move to the next page in the search results - ERROR: Invalid request
    2. Unable to save a list item from the Edit Properties popup. ERROR: The  server was unable to save the form at this time.
      This problem can be fixed for IE 10 by adding a 'Link to Document' content type.

    The above errors do not occur in IE 9

    I think the installation of IE 10 that I have is the issue.  I'm not getting the problem in a newly created VM runing Win 8.

    I've tried re-installing IE 10 but that has not fixed the problem.  Any ideas please?

    Found it.

    Free Download Manager Explorer add-on.

    Uninstalled Free Download Manager and all now works Ticky-Bo!
