    HI All

Thank you for your time for reading my post and very appreciate your help.

I have Downloaded QQ2012 and install it, After this I noticed when I start IE8, it will start with a different webpage and not the homepage.

My question will be Is IE supposed to start with Homepage?

How to start it with Homepage?

I use IE8, window xp, visual basic express 2010. Now to think about it, this is kind of off topic, my apology to post it here. Hope to get some help.

QQ is a communication tool used to communicate with my relatives and friend around the world. What I think that cause it to happen will be this new (not new new (I am using/ed QQ2011 and everything was working fine) program, so things that I could do will be Restore point, Uninstall it. Isn't there something else I can do? and keep the QQ2012?  This morning I just checked again and there is a QQ2013 available, I will try this now.

Hope to get some information on how to start the IE with my favorite homepage.

Any comments are welcome, Thank you again.

Edit: I had posted in a wrong forum and I was directed to this forum. Now Expert also has suggested how to change my Homepage. Tools>Internet Option>General tab where you can type in a list of homepages.

Note: My issue is not about how to change the homepage. I have Bing set as Homepage. When I start the IE I expect to see Bing instead of some other webpage. When I click the House in the Command Bar I do go to the Bing page. So the Homepage is set to bing it just does not go to the homepage when the ie start.

    HI Dissed

Thank you for your prompt reply. The first thing I thought was to reset the Homepage as you and the other expert described. The interest thing is that you can set the homepage to what you like and if you click the Home(little house icon) it does take you to the page you had set as home page. Now if you close the IE and restart it. The page you see will be that one of 123.duba.net and now click the Home(little house icon) the homepage will show up. Some how the home page is not shown as IE startso I wounder if the Homepage is supposed to show when IE start or you can have some other page to show? If the Homepage is to show then How is the 123.duba.net page is shown even with Homepage set to http://www.bing.com ?

After finding that it was the program from this company and tried all yours and the other expert suggestion (except the Restore defaults) I have resolved the issue by uninstall the program, not the QQ2012 (upgraded to QQ2013 now). While download the QQ2012 it seems some other program was also installed, in particular a program from this company 123.duba.net I am now searching information on it to get to know more about it.

Thank you very much for your time and help, very appreciate.

    HI Dissed

    Thank you for your help.

Since what they did was modify End User preference which is bad practice and against what is taught here in Microsoft forums for my understanding, From the fundamental we learn to never change End User preference without their knowldge or he/she will not like and altimaly will Uninstall the program without even take time to evaluate it. I will suggest to Uninstall programs like this and throw to the trash.

Your preference setting are awsome, I have change to it and notice the browser is loading much faster. Thank you very appreciate.
