IE9: Links from non-IE programs to SVG files will open IE and populate the URL bar but SVG content won't display until page is refreshed

Hello everyone,
I recently noticed that when opening links from Outlook, Word files, and other non-IE programs to SVG files that when I click the link IE opens and the URL bar is correctly populated with the url to the SVG file. However, the page appears blank. When the page is blank like this right-clicking does not display a context menu.
If I hit the refresh button (or press enter while the URL bar has focus) then the page will reload and the SVG content correctly displayed. After this the SVG content is cached and clicking on the link again will open IE and show the SVG content correctly. Deleting my cached temporary Internet files will cause the bug to happen again.
Sample link I've reproduced the problem with: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/84/Example.svg
I'm using IE9, Version 9.0.8112.16421, Update Versions 9.0.3, set as default web browser
My OS is Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit, Service Pack 1
Any thoughts on what I can change to get IE 9 to load the SVG files on the first try?
Thank you,
ZenkeiRich

Hi,
I can directly open the link you mentioned above. I also tried to copy it into the other non-IE programs and open through them, but I still have not encountered any problem with opening the link.
Please try to reset IE or disable all the add-ons for a test.
