Image toolbar

Hi All
Can anyone advise why the image toolbar (when hovering over images it would pop up with a save, print etc button in IE6) was removed from IE8? This was a handy tool that I can see no reason for removing. Has it been totally removed or is it hidden and needs turning on somewhere?
Many thanks

"The image toolbar will not be coming back. Simply right-click to get the same options."

If right click is disabled then this isn't possible. Is there a plug in that anyone can recommend that would do the same as the image toolbar?
What was the reason behind dropping this?
Thanks
