FIM Support for Office 2010 (Outlook 2010)?

Does FIM 2010 support Office 2010? (Outlook 2010)?
If it is not yet supported, which scenario are we in:
a) Probably works, just not through the testing cycle
b) Definitely doesn't work, we will have to release an update at some point
c) Might work, good luck
d) Did Office 2010 RTM? Yes it did
If it is supported which components are required for it to work? (Below I have listed the requirements from http://www.microsoft.com/forefront/identitymanager/en/us/system-requirements.aspx)
Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Service Pack 2 (Outlook 2010 would obviously replace that one)
Microsoft Forms .NET 2.0 Programmability Support (that's still available in 2010)
Smart Tag .NET Programmability Support for Microsoft Office 2007 (I can't find an equivalent feature in 2010)
.Net Programmability Support for Microsoft Office Outlook (that's still available)
from here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178786.aspx I find that smart tags are deprecated in 2010
Smart tags are deprecated in Excel 2010 and Word 2010. Although you can still use the related APIs in projects for Excel 2010 and Word 2010, these applications do not automatically recognize terms, and recognized terms are no longer underlined. Users must trigger recognition and view custom actions associated with text by right-clicking the text and clicking the Additional Actions on the context menu. For more information about this change in Word 2010, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=178847. For more information about this change in Excel 2010, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=197379.

Friday, August 06, 2010 10:26 PMWow the html formatting on my question sure looks quite interesting. Results: So far I can install the outlook client A-OK on outlook 2010 and generate the requests but I haven't gotten the requests to complete successfully yet.

Hi Markus, is it working actually the support for Office2010?
I have a customer very interested in FIM to manage groups with Outlook. Is it very realizable?
Thanks in advance.

FIM_Newbie,
It is my understanding that support for Outlook 2010 is still not offical and that it is scenario A -- Probably works, just not through the testing cycle. In my own testing it works.

Hey David,Yes, I've technically got it working on Outlook 2010 32-bit, but would like to know when official support is announced. Until then we can't roll it out to all :)

Any updates from Team FIM? I've been testing with Outlook 2010 and it appears to work at some level (the add-in toolbar appears, you can choose to join or leave groups from the address book, etc.), but it is a bit flaky. I haven't yet attempted an end-to-end test with an offline approval.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve-It was disclosed that this will be in the R2 release for FIM at TechEd a couple weeks ago.
