    The server encryption keys could not be accessed.

    User Action

    Verify that the service account has permissions to the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Forefront Identity Manager\2010\Synchronization Service

    If the problem persists, run setup and restore the encryption keys from backup.

    This error occurs when I try to change the credential in FIM Syncronization service and try to  log on locally.

    Any luck with this one yet?  I am running into the same issue.  I can say that I don't think it is actually related to a security issue (as I gave everyone full access to the key and sub keys and it still did not work).

    If it helps, I am working with SP2013 on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 box.
