Hey everyone, I got an interesting question for you. I am currently trying to install BHOLD onto a lab that I have with the company. We have the following machines:
FIMDC01 - domain controller
FIMEX01 - exchange
FIMSQL01 - SQL 2008 R2
FIMSRV01 - FIM Service and Portal 2010 R2
FIMSYNC01 - FIM Sync Service (2010 R2)
and I created a new machine called FIMBHOLD01.
I already installed the BHOLD Core on FIMBHOLD01 and already installed the Application Management Conecttor on FIMSync01. However, I always get an error when I try and install BHOLD Integration. I enter all the information and during the installation, the FimCustomization.exe always fails and thus fails the installation. Interestingly enough, the program appears in Programs and Features and I have to uninstall it if I want to try to install it correctly. I attached a picture of the error I get below.
I am following the following document for installing BHOLD: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj134107(v=ws.10).aspx
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue or what I am doing wrong? I have been working on it for the past 2 days but I can't find any solutions that have worked for me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

OK - so here is a magic trick.
1. Make sure that you are running this on administrative rights in FIM, but this is probably a case but worth to check anyway
2. Take a magic wand (I mean mouse or keyboard) and look through the magic glass into Event viewer. In this event viewer you will find error entry from the time when it crashed which will contain a command line. Which is wrong - if I remember correctly server and port are wrong there. Think for few seconds what are the correct attributes and just run it with it ;).
hope it helps :)
