AnswerServer 2008 admin pack for Windows 7

    I have tried the admin pack for Vista and it does not work on Windows 7, when you search TechNet for it specifically it comes back with a message that you should try this search later. 

    It would seem that even Microsoft is not ready for 7 yet.

    I have installed Windows 7 Professional X64 on my one of my machines.  I have downloaded the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 64-bit (amd64fre_GRMRSATX_MSU) from the website link below.  After installing the tools, I still found that I did not have the added tools that the admin pack should have such as ADUC.  The installation appears as a Windows Update (KB958830).  I installed all of the windows updates prior to installing Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7.  Does anyone out there have any suggestions?  These tools are essential to be able to migrate over from Windows XP to Windows 7.

    J.Crafty,

    After you install, you still have to enable the components within the "Windows Features" part of the Programs and Features area.  Doing this is documented in the same page as you're download link.
