Windows Media Player stopped working

Wednesday, October 05, 2011 3:15 AMHi, Im hoping someone far more tech-savvy than I can help solve my problem. Windows Media Player on my new Toshiba laptop started malfunctioning then quit working altogether. Initially it kept stopping when burning cds then it stopped altogether and wouldnt close. I had to force shutdown to turn the computer off. I have yet to turn it back on to see if all my music and the problem is still there. Unfortunately I dont have the receit to return it to JB, it is only a few months old and cost over $700. Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

Hi,
I would appreciate if you can tell us more information. Is there any error message?
When did this issue begin to occur?
I suggest reinstall SP1 or SP2 to check the result.
Meanwhile, please refer to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-problems-in-Windows-Media-Player
