Windows 7 default libraries are hidden
-
Sunday, February 07, 2010 10:54 AMHi
I have accidentally hidden the deafualt libraries in Windows 7. I foolishly updated all folders in my users/<name> folder and all subfolders to 'Hidden'. I then reversed this by unchecking the 'Hidden' option. However, my default libraries are still marked as hidden and the only way I can access them is to change the folders view to show hidden files. Please advise how I can remove the hidden flag against my default libraries? Also please advise how I identify if there are any other files/folders that remain hidden?
Thank you
Nicholas

The best way to unhide default libraries would be just to delete them and restore back.
To restore default libraries in Windows 7 you should right-click the "Libraries" caption in the navigation pane of explorer and choose "Restore default libraries".

Althoug I'm answering you too later, to solve it, you must check if the folder which its directory is C:\Users\(Your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries isn't assigned as hidden (in its Properties).
Best regards.
