Notepad pops up during startup with localizedresourcename=@%systemroot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

Notepad has the following in it:

[.ShellClassInfo]
localizedresourcename=@%systemroot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

I am unable to delete must less go to desktop.ini for editing or deleting.

did you remove startup desktop.ini

start>run

%homedrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

enter

create text file named desktop.ini and enter below text in notepad

[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

and save

now

enter run again

attrib +s +h "%homedrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\desktop.ini"

Dexter, did you get a resolution to this problem? I cannot resolve it and can find nothing other than companies selling tools to resolve. Thanks for your help. Donna.
