    Hi,
    When I boot up my Windows Vista (since 10/27) it does not recognize my profile (profile not loaded correctly). I have tried to "system restore" but my earlier restore points are not there anymore. Also, I get the "file system corruption on OS (C):" message. Can you help?

    Are you Able to log in as the Local Adminstrator?

    If yes follow these steps

    Go to C:\Documents and settings

    Find your old Profile and re name it and add (.old) to the end of it

    Create a new account e.g: Yourname

    Then while in the Adminsistrator account set the persmissions e.g. Admin acocunt or standard

    Once you are happy with the setup of the new account what you can do is copy like for like e.g C:\Documents and settings\yourname.old\Pictures to C:\Documents and settings\yourname\Pictures etc...

    Once you have done that log in with your new profile and make sure that everything you need is there :) if happy you can then delete the corrupt profile from

    C:\Documents and settings\yourname.old
