Most machines that came with WIn98 are not capable of running XP.

Friday, March 16, 2012 8:19 PM Windows XP is no longer available. You would be much better off recycling your old Windows 98 computer and purchasing a new modern computer that comes with Windows 7 preinstalled. Some examples.
