    Hi,

Can you try running System update readiness tool at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 and see if that resolves your issue.
Also can you share your email id so that I can send you process of collecting logs from your machine.

    Thanks,
    Sachin

I've got the same problem - three threads and not one of them has been responded to... has ANYONE found a solution to this issue besides re-installing Vista?

No solution here, either. I have been dealing with this problem for weeks and I have searched, posted and read a lot of articles but, to this moment, no luck, whatsoever. What is really disappointing is the apparent nonchalance exhibited by the Microsoft Moderators. Holy, cow! The the only proof we can see that anyoine from MS looks at these threads, at all, is a brief visit from Sachin Trivedi, who made TWO brief appearances, the last of which happened June 19, 2009!!!!!!!
I think this is totally unacceptable for a company the size and the responsibilities of Microsoft. Where is Mr. Bates???
    Unbelievable and simply ridiculous.

P.S.  -  This is justo to vent off some frustration, because I don't really believe anyone is looking at this issue anymore... Enough to look at what has happened since June...
