After installing Windows 2003 Server R2 x64 the USB ports fail on reboot hence the Kybd & mouse are inoperable.  In diagnostic mode the ports are working but as soon as Windows starts, they stop functioning. I get to the log-on screen
(Ctrl-Alt-Del)and that's it. I've been instructed to install SP2 which of course requires functionality of the kybd/mouse. I've
attempted to integrate the SP2 into the Windows CD by slipstreaming but from all attempts from various tech support suggestions, the last line of the operation fails because the UPDATE.EXE command does not exist in the path. There is no
i386 folder in the SP2 directory after extracting the files. The Update .exe command file that does exist gives an error as not being a  valid win32 operation.  Any ideas?
