I want to reinstall SP2 becuase of a few errors. When i re-run the installer SP2 says its already installed and doesnt give me an option to reinstall it.

Is there a command line or special way to reinstall it?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the reply.

If a service pack or update has already been installed on Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, it cannot be reinstalled directly. To do so, we need to uninstall it first.

    Hi,

Please uninstall Service Pack 2 from Control Panel\Programs and Features first. Then you can reinstall it.

    Hi,

How are things going? I have not heard back from you in a few days and wanted to check on the status of the issue. Please let me know how things turned out.

    Tim,
Thanks for the replies. I was able to uninstall it from the uninstaller. I guess Microsoft doesnt allow Service Packs to be reinstalled anymore? it requires a full uninstall and install?

    Thanks again for your time!
