i have a dell insparon 700 w/IE7 and service pac3 beta there are ALOT of problems with my computer but the absolute worst is I am unable to download ANYTHING that will fix my problem i cant get any help from Microsoft because i cant download the required Active X Program

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi Steffi,

about the wedding offer - no, my wife wouldn't like that. Nothing personal.

As I don't know the causes of your problem, I can only give you some general ideas:
(1) Try to reset your browser's settings to default (should be available in "Internet Options").
(2) If that doesn't work, try to get another browser (IE, Firefox, Opera, what you like) from a friend's computer or any printed pc magazine (they often contain CD's or DVD's with the current browsers). Use this browser to download what you need.
(3) If your computer is part of a domain, your downloads may be blocked by network restrictions.
(4) Rather unlikely, but possible are problems with your AV software / firewall settings.
