I would recommend you ask for support at Autodesk Forums.

Though from what I understand, you un-installed 3D Studio MAX 2011 and the anchor service was left behind after un-installation. Now when you install 2012 version, it tries to install a newer version of anchor service but the older version, left-behind after 2011 version uninstall, for some reason can't be uninstalled.

If you want your question to be answered here, you need to be comfortable with performing the required steps.

Please post back if interested in getting help from here.

If you need assistance with Autodesk software, then you need to go to Autodesk and ask for assistance on their website.

This is not Microsoft and Microsoft does not provide help for third party software.  Some of the third party software require utilities from the publisher to cleanup Windows when you want uninstall one program and install another version.

If you go to www.autodesk.com you will see that they have both a Support link and a Community link.  That is where you need to go to get help with Autodesk software!

Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. ”

I have seen to Autodesk forums but they didn't answer me yet. This is a trouble of my job, not personal. Anyway thanks for your tips. It's possible that the problems could be resolved stopping anchor service and then trying install  the new version or remove the program from windows registry?? Thanks!!
