    While browsing using IE 8 in XP SP3, I frequently get swapped out where my PC will hang.  No pattern here, but I can hear the fan going hard.  This occurs both with and without an active AV suite on my PC ( for the record, it is McAfee Total Protection ).  Suggestions will be welcome.

    Hi,

    Does the same issue occur with another browser? or just IE?

    The answer to all this swapping out was to remove VMWare Player from my PC along with a lot of scans and Win XP repair.  Working fine now.  Thanks.
