I'm getting this error message - how can I fix this? Microsoft Fix-It displays this message, but doesn't say what to do to correct the problem.
Anyone?

This error message is not completely clear.
Take a look in the Windows "System" log in the Event viewer to see if there's any record related to Windows Update problems and to the error message you're writing about; also try resetting the Windows Update components by following the instructions published in the Microsoft Knwoledge Base article that you find at the following web address

Bye.

Hey mrderf, I am getting the exact same result and response. Microsoft "fix it" - can't....and just as you mentioned, does not even point to where to begin to look. Makes no sense, so here we are writing random notes to blank screens that cannot help......whew...
