I need to perform inventory of PCs in a large distributed environment which consist mostly of Windows XP SP3 computers with a small addition of Windows Vista and Seven. All the PCs are joined to an AD domain. I've performed all the preparation steps described in MAP wiki, and in addition shut down Windows XP firewall service. Mostly those PCs could be scanned successfully (including PCs running Windows 7).
I've installed Windows 8 Enterprise on some computers. None of them could be scanned with MAP Toolkit. Error description: "Failed - Access Denied". A rare exception to this rule is a couple of computers where local administrator password is the same as password of domain administrator account used for scanning. MAP Toolkit scans them successfully and shows correct hardware and software description.
What additional settings Windows 8 needs to allow remote access of MAP toolkit?

It seems that the answer was very simple: Windows 8 PCs were located in OU outside of scope of the appropriate AD policy opening firewall ports. After I moved PC accounts to another OU, MAP toolkit has scanned those PCs correctly.
BTW Windows Firewall rules configured on Windows Server 2008 R2 are not displayed correctly in RSOP.MSC on Windows 8 / Server 2012. They are displayed in Extra Registry Setting as raw registry data.
