I thought I recall making a noted in the Getting Started guide, FAQ or forums that I saw a "recommended max" for devices using the LocalDB as opposed to a full Standard or Enterprise version.  Can you note the recommendation? ex. 10,000 and also if this is per the installation or just per Database.

Ex.  I have 20,000 servers, should I split this into multiple databases or installations?

Although there isn't any "official" recommendation, I would say that for any inventory over 6 or 7K machines, you will want to use a full edition of SQL Server such as Standard or Enterprise and follow the directions in this Wiki article on setting up the dedicated SQL instance that MAP needs.

Thanks Mike, that was my thoughts as well and probable recommendation for the rest of the team.  Much appreciated!
