I test MAP 8 and want to use IP range adress. My customer have mutiple office, and want to have a asset for each one. But the different building are connected in the same WAN. I want to use the range adress, different for each building. when I test with a adress range : 153.89.17.1 to 153.89.17.255 (building 1). I receive the result for 153.89.17.*, but some results from 153.89.16.* or 153.89.18.* too.
The other adress come from other building. How can I have a inventory for only a range of adress ?
TIA

Usually the only reason MAP will expand the discovered devices if in the case of virtual machines and their hosts. If MAP inventories a VM host or a VM, it will learn about the other VM's on the host and add them to its list of discovered devices and then try to inventory them. Of the IP addresses that were out or range, are they VM's or VM hosts?

Thans for your answer,
If I undertsand, when MAP discover a Hyper-V server, the VM inside this one are automatcaly include in the scan (If the IP address match or not).
But in my case I have no VM or VHM host.
