Hi All,
What is the best method / tool for Microsoft SAM inventory when there is no Active Directory. We tried with some powershell scripts and run from each PC, but we faced some issues like it won't work with XP / Vista computers, and difficult to consolidated the data.
Thanks in advance.
Arun

If you don't have AD in the environment, then you can use IP address ranges or Windows Networking Protocols which works for Workgroups and NT 4.0 domains. This assumes you have a common admin account with the same password on each machine. If you have the same account name but different passwords, then you will have to use the manual entry method of discovery and create a separate entry for each machine/user/pass combination.
