Sunday, March 23, 2008 1:10 AMHello, I downloaded this tool but when I tried to run it I got an error message stating that it can't be run on my OS. I have a 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003 R2. Is there no tool for me to use to determine whether or not Server 2008 will run on my existing configuration?
Thanks in advance!
Monday, March 31, 2008 5:19 PMHi Tim -
I know this doesn't help you today, but we are starting to test our 64 Bit version today. Release date is still TBD.
As for determining if you can upgrade, here are a couple of pointers to system requirements and ability to upgrade from Windows Server 2003.
System requirements: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/system-requirements.aspx
Upgrading from Windows Server 2003: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/why-upgrade-2003.aspx
If you are looking to assess more than one machine, you may consider installing on another 32 bit machine or set up a 32 bit virtual machine.

Please visit this site to register for the MAP 3.1 Private Beta. It will have the 64-bit installation support that you've requested.
