Hi,
First off, it's not clear whether you're referring to only using WDS, or using MDT.
Since the boot images that MDT creates are not called boot.wim, but litetouch_x86.wim and _x64.wim, would have to believe you're using WDS w/o MDT.
When adding install images to WDS, whether they are 32-bit or 64-bit, both type of install images will be displayed for deployment when booting into x86 WinPE. But if you boot into a x64 WinPE, only x64 images will be shown that you can select to install. The same goes for MDT2012, if you import images to your workbench, and create task sequences for x64 OS's and x86 OS's. Both will be shown in the x86 version of WinPE (LitetouchPE) and only x64 task sequences will be shown in the x64 version of WinPE.
If your captured Windows 7 x64 image does not show up properly in either the wds install images group, or in the mdt workbench, this image might not be a properly captured image, or somehow be corrupted in some way. Verify that the image is indeed a valid x64 win7 image, or try to recapture it (you can also import the original source install.wim from the install dvd just for testing purposes to see if it works properly then).
Kind regards,
