iastor.sys driver issue with mdt 2012
-
Wednesday, October 24, 2012 7:07 PMI have various dell optiplex systems running xp and win7, I also have some hp and intel board systems running either xp or win7, I try to blast win7 via mdt 2012 and get the typical iastor.sys driver issue. I have the iastor.sys driver for the system but what's the deal? It says it failed to load cause it's missing or corrupt. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Could it be that the iastor driver version is older than 9.6? Myself had some issues when I got the 9.5 version of iastor.sys. Reference is here.

Thursday, October 25, 2012 1:22 PMI'm currently getting this error on a hp mini 1104 netbook/notebook. I downloaded the intel drivers from the link you sent and put into MDT and I'm still getting the same error, I checked the bios and found nothing about the hard drive listed (the bios on this system is very basic)

Darn. Then I'm out of ideas. Perhaps lets do what Vik says and upload the logs. -

I have fixed the problem, I followed your link and downloaded the appropriate intel driver, put it in the driver folder with the other drivers for the system but what I then had to do was create a selection profile with just the driver folder for that system, then create a custom task sequence and tell it to use that selection profile when injecting the drivers versus all drivers and applications, I think it may have been incorrectly grabbing an iastor.sys for another piece of hardware.
