    I am trying to fig out what the install file name is call for windows 7 i am trying to run setup again from the computer out of the files cant find my disk.

    So if anyone know what the install file name is please let me know

    install file for what?

    If you mean the image from the windows 7 media, the name is install.wim or are you thinking on setup.exe?

    yes the setup when i type in setup.exe nothing pops up say theres not one

    First, has this anything to do with MDT?

    Second, from where are you trying to run setup.exe, from winpe?

    no it dont and where do i need to run it from i cant even find setup.exe

    OK, then this thread should be moved to the Windows 7 installation forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproinstall/threads/ perhaps a admin can do that...

    But i can try to help you anyway....

    Have booted you computer on the Windows 7 installation media?

    If it's a retail machine then there's sometimes a restore program.
