I have MDT 2012 Update 1 and WAIk installed. Added Windows ADK. What version of windows PE is being used in my MDT workbench? And how can i add a new PE 4.0 to my task sequence?
Thank you.

Tuesday, December 04, 2012 5:39 PMYou can't/shouldn't have both WAIK and ADK on the same machine. If you want to use ADK, remove WAIK first. Then all your WinPE images generated on that machine will be WinPE 4.0. Once you rebuild your MDT Boot Images, then it will automatically be using WinPE 4 from your Task Sequences.

Thank you for reply. Will try to uninstall now. However you are incorrect about "cant" part. Since during install of ADK in never prompted to remove WAIK and did not uninstall it as well.
Thank you.

[August 2012] Installing the Windows ADK to a computer that already has the Windows OPK or Windows AIK is not supported If you already have a computer with a previous version of the Windows OEM Preinstallation Kit or Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK), installing the Windows ADK is not supported. If you need to access tools available with the Windows OPK or Windows AIK, copy those tools to the Windows ADK computer. If you do install the Windows ADK Deployment Tools to a computer with the Windows OPK or Windows AIK, only use the Deployment Tools Command Prompt from the Windows ADK.
Yeah, the install for ADK doesn't stop you from installing on a machine with WAIK (or remove it for you). They just aren't supported to co-exist. : )
