I have 2 model computers - Hp dc6005 and Hp Elite 8300 workstations. I used mdt 2012 to deploy the os on the 6005 without any problems. I have all the factory drivers installed for the 8300's and I extracted the drivers and later injected/imported it into mdt which I see in my workbench. When I try to deploy the windows on the 8300's I had the error "A connection to the Deployment Share could not be made.... Possible cause: Invalid Credentials". This sounds strange to me because I have the Credentials set correctly and besides it's working for other models. please I need help.
Thanks

When do you get that error?
The most likely cause is that you are missing the correct Vista NIC drivers in your WinPE build for that model's network adapter.
It could also be a DNS issue. If you F8 while in WinPE see if you can ping the server/machine that the DS lives on. Also try google.com. If you can't ping anything, it's probably the NIC driver. If you can ping IP and not host it's DNS.

Yeah press F8 in WinPE mode and check your IP/DNS and credentials.
- ipconfig /all
- nslookup <my.deploymentshare.com> or <ipadress>
- net use (to see if you got the correct connection)
- net session (to see if you got right credentials for the correct connection)
*One more thing. I had a similiar issue at some point that was the SMB are having issues if your using different credentials to the same \\Share or \\Server.
If you got like Guest account active on server try disable that and try again because my clients was trying to connect with both Guest account and my Deploy account.Hope that helps
Best regards

Thank you very for your quick response. It's working now. The problem was after importing the drivers into the workbence, i had to UPDATE the deploymentshare. I right click and selected update and it started working fine.
But I still have a problem. While it is finishing the installation and preparing your desktop, it comes with an error message " Unable to find Lite Touch.wsf..needed to continue the deployment". I can actually bypass but all my drivers and applications won't install. Please help me. Not easy.
Thanks

This can be a result of the NIC drivers for the full OS not being installed. Run ipconfig to see if you get any result. If no NIC is installed the result will be almost blank, if ok then you will see the IP address.- Edited by Eirik Hamer Thursday, February 21, 2013 3:24 PM
