first off, i see this thread which seems relevant:
but i figured i would ask anyway. (and i'm not sure of the exact reg key he's referring to)
so i'm starting to re-image boxes that had previously been imaged using a different WDS/MDT server(name). Everytime i PXE a box under the new server name, it fails once saying that it can't connect to the older server name.
rebooting then fixes it and everything works fine.
~if this were /. this sig would be funny

It looks like your older deployments did not end cleanly. MDT will attempt to use the old info that it gathered at that time.
On those machines, delete the MINiNT folder in the root of the system drive prior to deployment.

If you are doing a complete refresh (delete and reinstall) I just clean the HDD before deployment:
- Boot into WinPE
- Press F8 to bring up cmd
- select disk 0
- restart to WinPE and continue
I just find it quicker than booting back into Windows to remove it, of course this only works if your doing a complete rebuild.
Also, make sure you are re-creating your boot media through MDT, not just updating and import the new media into WDS. Do a complete recreation.
