How to use DFS-R and NameSpace with LTI deployments.

Couple of questions...
Does MDT 2012 support Domain based Namespaces for the deployment share?
Can i use DFS-R instead of linked deployment shares? Is there a step-by-step how-to on how to acomplish this? i assume there are certain things that shouldn't be replicated, and some settings that need to be changed (on the boot media for example).
i am having a little trouble wrapping my head around the design but i assume that DFS might be useful for LTI deployments.
Yeah Buddy!

I would think you would want to have a development deployment share that you do your work on. Then replicate the stuff that you want in production out to your DFS-R- Proposed As Answer by Ty Glander Monday, March 25, 2013 3:19 PM

It's not supported to configure MDT with a domain-based namespace, a stand-alone namespace however is.
Example: \\domain.local\mdt$ is not supported,\\fileserver1\mdt$ is.
