We have a Hybrid Build with support for 5 hardware, present hardware is a AMD make . Now when we are deploying image in IDE mode , it works just fine , but when we enable the AHCI mode in BIOS , it is failing.
Have made following changes in IDE mode and then in BIOS changed to AHCI , but the machine freeze's at "windows welcome screen"
In which the value of Start must be set to 0.
Is there a way to make it work? It's driving me crazy
Tuesday, November 27, 2012 3:24 PMCheck you have the latest Intel Storage drivers and are imported both in WinPE (3.1 and below only - 4.0 already includes the good ones) and in the deployment of your OS image.

What type of hardware are you deploying? is the fix from here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976?wa=wsignin1.0 working for you? I run it during deployment and it works fine.

When the machine reboots and you press F8 for recovery, which DLL does it hang on? Do you have thise drivers in place ? http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=5296265&prodNameId=5296270&swEnvOID=4061&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=vc-108693-1
