Hi, I am capturing an WinXP machine using the folowing line
x:\USMT\x86\scanstate.exe \\server\USMT\%computername% /c /i:x:\USMT\x86\MigUser.xml /i:x:\USMT\x86\Migapp.xml /ue:x:%omputername%\*
I've noticed that the file occasionaly reverts to the original.i.e. all my changes that I made have gone.
Anyone know why this would be ?
Joe./
Thanks - Joe.

OK - changed the file and ran "update deployment share" and this reverts it back to the original. doh!
thats not what I want - I suppose the only workaround is to rename the xml to and reference that one.
Thanks - Joe.

Tuesday, November 27, 2012 4:41 PMYes, when you run updatet it will take the files from the C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\USMT folder and copy them to the USMT portion is the MDT share / USMT / Platform, so your custom files should be called something_custom.xml, you should not change the original.
