Answered Offline Media - Custom Scripts

    My deployment server is 2008 R2 running MDT 2012 Update 1.  I have created offline media for deployments outside of the facility where the server is located.  When I create the DVD it does not copy any custom scripts I have created and placed in the scripts directory.  When I check the DVD I only have the default scripts.  In the past this worked.  Any idea why it will not copy the custom scripts I have created?

    I've continued testing and found the following.

    If I go to x:\deploy\scripts it only has the default scripts but when in WinPE if I go to d:\deploy\scripts it shows all of the files I have created as well as the default scripts.

    This makes it tough to use the %scriptroot% variable and instead I have to use the actual path which could cause issues on certain machines.

    Everytime I have this problem, it is because of ....

    The new laptops have USB 3.0 and USB marked with SS. If you plug the USB into one of these there is always an issue (unless you have the drivers for the USB as well in WINPE).

    If you plug the USB into a standard USB 2.0 port, that should not give the X drive error.

    I am using an actual DVD.  I create the ISO and then burn it to a disc.

    Turns out this 100% self inflicted.  I had updated my server to 2012 Update 1 but still had WAIK instead of ADK installed.  After removing WAIK, installing ADK, and generating a new ISO everything works as expect.  Nothing like wasting hours of time on something that was my own fault.
