USB Device Not Recognized

Dear All,

My HP LaserJet P2015 printer was working fine previously but from last week, it is showing this error message.

One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.

My Machine:
HP 530 Laptop
windows xp pro sp3

I tried to uninstall the hp printer driver+software both and reinstalled but no gain, then removed the usb controllers and restarted the system of course it got auto install after reboot. still not working, now it is showing as an unknown device in the device manager. i tried to install it using its CD, but no luck.

Please advise any solution.

Both when I start my computer and when I shut down my computer I get a Windowa Istaller box appear and then it trys to install something called HIPS_CC.msi, but then I get a message that states, The feature you are trying to use in a network resource is not available, I'm then given the option of trying to find it in Windows System32, but it isn't found anywhere.

How do I get rid of this thing that can't be installed?

Hi, I have WDS 4 up and running in a W2003 Server. I want to query the systemindex from a asp .net webform. This web application is installed in a webserver outside the domain where WDS is running. Currently, I have a credential error querying the WDS Server. I know that in some way or some place, I must provide credentials. But, I do not figure out how to accomplish this.

Can any one tell me where to find or post this?

Problems setting up a WebDAV site through add network location in Server 2008

This seems to be a known issue, but there isn't much documentation as to why the error occurs.

When adding a network location through the my computer window ie: https://webdav.fastpa.com/webdav/fas/Nudge/ it returns an error of "The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another."

The knowledge base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/960758 talks about this problem and provides a run at your own risk hotfix. I ran the hotfix and it came back as “You do not need to install this hotfix.”

The server is a dell R710 2008 Server Standard with SP2 and it is being used as a terminal server. Any hints or answers to solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have written an extremely fast, efficient Key Sequenced Access Method that I wrote so I could develop software, originally on Dos but it works fine on WINDOWS. I would like to incorporate it into WINDOWS for developers that, like me, don't like the slow inefficient SQL Access Methods that are available. I would like to talk to someone at Microsoft about incorporating it into WINDOWS, but they have made themselves virtually impossible to talk to unless you pay them for the great privelege of talking to a superior being. How about it Microsoft, wouldn't it be nice to add something to WINDOWS that would be useful to developers and will speed up RDMS by a quantum leap?

I keep getting an Error Message with respect to cert.dll-telling me that installing it may resolve the problem
(forgot what the first part said..).

I run windows XP on a Gateway cmptr.

Hi! I have a question....
I can get a wireless internet connection ok. Also I can log on to a domain with lan (with twisted pair cable).

BUT. ..

I can't get wireless connection started before log on to domain window. Anyone please, can you help me out?
I need to, as I understand it, to get my wireless connection started before I get the windows logon page. or else
I will get domain not available when I try to log on. I want to log on to domain using wireless connection.

Technical data:
HP 550 notebook pc, broadcom wlan adapter, windows xp . Wireless ADSL is the access point to LAN.

My Virus Protection caught this Virus Threat: "exploit script injection-367" Unfortunitality my staff member was not so lucky and now their computer is infected. Searched the internet for a solution. May be related to SQL database on our website but need more information... not much solution on this one.

Anybody have a solution of what causes this? Also would like you know your best virus software that actually works on eliminating any viruses.

Microsoft Word 2003 on Xp

I am running Microsoft Word on XP
1.when i run it as a limited user and i try to "lookup"(right click lookup) on a word word frees for a 10 sec till i get results.
2.when i run word as local admin and i am doing the look its working fine. i get results on the spot, no waiting time.
3.when i do the same process on a terminal server its working fine.

The computer is new and i have this issue with all the computers on the network. all office updates have been installed.

Hi

I configure automatic control systems for various applications such as waste water control where equipment is controlled via a PC connected to a programmable controller (PLC).
The software on this computer is windows XP.

Im a novice at scripting and would like to know is it possible to create a script that will say sit on my desktop in a file and when activated, will send an email to a set email address and then close itself. Microsoft Office Outlook is available on the computer

In the software that i use to control the application there is an option for activating an exe file so im presuming this is the way to go about it.

Is this something you have encountered? is it possible?

Hello i'v been haveing this problem since february about 9.0c won't download onto this cpu after the cpu got wiped clean. I have a microsoft windows XP pro verson 2002 and service pack 3. AMD Athlon processor with 656 MHz 768 MB of ram. I have NVIDIA 6200oc with its latest drivers. i downloaded all the way to directX 10 but game required 9.0c so i backed up the directX to 8.1 then went to 9.0b np with your program but not with 9.0c. i've tried alot to get Direct X 9.0c but cpu is not reading it i've used runtime one couple of times but no luck i tried with alot of forums and no luck. Any ideas or question just post i be checking it everyday. and ty if your able to help me

I have just installed Windows 7. I have a Nvidia Nforce4 chipset motherboard. For some reason no matter how many ways and tricks i pulled off ... none of them worked to bring my Ethernet Controller to life. I found drivers and installed them and reinstalled them again but no luck what so ever... however every other hardware on my computers works tremendously perfect.

I have just installed IE8 on several PCs that our patrons use and encountered several issues with them attempting to open their webamils on our PCs. Specifically Yahoo classic will not open and needs upgraded to th newest version, which we have done on a case by case basis. AIL mail howver wil not open at all. I have spent several hours looking at security settings and add ons without finding the answer. I anm sure it is some detail I am overlooking. Can anyone help? thanks

i am using server 2003 enterprise edition with service pack 2 (4 GB RAM) as a terminal server on which i installed office 2003 service pack 3, open office, photoshop, and some other software. the problem is that my server is hanged after one or two hours when i restart it works fine but suddenly it got stuck. when i checked event viewer there is no such event which shows the cause of hanging. but a (event id 1041) (Autoreconnect failed to reconnect user to session because authentication failed. (0x0)). kindly help me for solving this problem.

originally I forgot my HD boot password. I rebuilt a new drive with the HD password turned off. I need to add a drive 2 using my cd bay to turn off the password there also so that I can go back to my original drive. I have tons of data and remote data bases that I would have to rebuid if I can't do this.

I am not using linq query in my web. but in my window i am using linq query.

Hello team,

We are working on speaker indicator, which is supposed to indicate the level of volume received from VLC player. I have worked on microphone, in microphone we can able to get the input buffer and according to that we are able to display the level of volume. I have gone through Microsoft sites I have found that if we link the speaker volume with microphone volume then we can feed the speaker audio data into microphone and get the volume level but that I can not do for my application.

Normally If I have data then using waveStreamCallback API, we can get the speaker audio buffer for volume indicator. But VLC did not provide any API so that we can get the audio buffer.

In vista we have core audio API that get the audio buffer from speaker out ports and using that we can get the amplitude but in XP we do not have such API.

So please suggest me how can I implement this

I have installed client mcafee antivirus in my computer then i am not able view share folder. I got the message like the network location cannot be reached but when type \\hostname it shows only my computer not others. Every firewall is disable as far as i know. finally i uninstalled antivirus still got same problem

I am trying to find out which specific user is logged on to a specific computer on my network. Say I have a workgroup x that has 20 machines "y1-20" connected to it. I want to know who is currentely logged onto computer y4 on my network. How do I go about doing this. I know it is possible but I can't remember how I did it.
