you should setup the ports on each FE server, so use the FQDN of the FE server.

    Hi Tankster,

The listening ports are set for all the FE servers. I have written a shorter version, if it helps.

Ok, still a little confused due to Rajith's article saying "pool fqdn". I had already ran the CsWebServer -Identity pool1.domain.com with the specified ports on both of my front end servers as per following Jeff's orginal article I mentioned; but again, since that dns record is DNS load balanced, I think I should have used the hardware load balanced dns record (lync.domain.com) instead. So if I do need to change this, can I just issue the commands again and install the mcxstandalone.msi file on each server or do I need to retract something first?

In talking to my HLB vendor (Barracuda), they are aware of the mobility service and are working on a solution to address this along with a whitepaper, but they do not have it ready as of today.

    Hi,

As my understanding, we need to type FE pool FQDN when configuring the listening ports for mobility even you used the hardware load balanced  so the steps you done are correct. You can try to telnet 5086 and 5087 from other computer to check if the ports are allowed.
