    Hi,

We have Lync Server 2010 configured internally. We also have Lync Edge server for external connectivity. Recently we had procured Public IM license. It is configured and working fine for Yahoo and MSN. Now the requirement for Google Talk to communicate with our Lync clients. Where ever I have read it says we need to setup OCS 2007 R2 XMPP gateway. Now we don't have OCS license. I need to know how to setup Lync XMPP gateway. Or is there any other way that I can make Google users talk to my Lync users. I also, need to know how to setup this entire setup.

    Thanks

    Hi Amit,

There is currently no "Lync" XMPP gateway, but the OCS XMPP gateway will work just fine, with your Lync environnement.

There are no other wayt around it to talk to Goole Talk.

Here are some nice blog to help you:

It is free and you can download here:

You cannot install the XMPP gateway on the Lync Edge server, you need a separate box.
