Hi all,
i'm making a lab for my student, I intend deploy Lync Server with Front End, Back End and Monitoring and Archiving but my laptop only have 8GB RAM, can i install Front End Server Role with DC and Back End server role using the same database with Monitoring & Archiving ?
I using a windows phone device, i've downloaded lync client from market but when I connect to Lync Server of my company, it said: "The discovery address is incorrect" but my friend using an android device can connect to the server with the same configure, is the problem on my phone or on the server ??

Hi,
I don't think you can do all with 8 GB. and you cnnot deploy the FE server role in a DC. back end DB can have Monitoring and Archiving as well as seperate instances. Make sure you use seperate VM s for DC, SQL and FE server. FE serevr can host Monitoring and Arching roles (For LAB purpose of course)
just to confirm, you do have Lync Mobility services deployed at your location? if so try accessing https://autodiscover.domain.com in IE Explorer, download the file, open it in note pad and check whether the serve address are correct.

Lync Server Supported Server Collocation describes the various supported options, where collocation of the FE server role with a DC is not one of them. In order for autodiscover to work for Lync Mobile, a number of changes are essential e.g. DNS SRV records for internal and external access. Check out the Announcement section for more information. Please share with us if this helps. Thanks.

In addition, the Microsoft® Lync™ Server 2010 capacity planning calculator is designed to assist you in determining server requirements based on numbers of users and communication modalities that are enabled at your organization.
For mobility issue, you can refer to this troubleshooting guide first. Hope helps.
