    Hi,

Usually when I see this is due to a firewall, either on the client side or between subnets.

try to turn of the firewall on each machine for a start and then try, if it still doesn't work check with your network guys thay could probably tell you if there is any firewalls, or router that could cause problems.

Make sure that you don't have any fw in your antivirus that could cause this to, it's easy to forget that one.

    Hi

Ok, what's the patch level both on Lync server and client? Make sure you're on the latest version.

If you turn on logging on the client is there any errors and please post them if there is any.

    Hi,

What is the message received when transferring the file?

Are both two clients in internal?

Meanwhile, please also refer to the following tips to check the issue:

    1. File transfers can be controlled in the Set-CsClientPolicy see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398300.aspx and make sure that its enabled.

    2 .Set-CsConferencingPolicy -Identity global -EnableP2PFileTransfer $True

    EnableP2PFileTransfer:

Indicates whether peer-to-peer file transfers (that is, file transfers that do not involve all participants) are allowed during the meeting. The default value is True ($True).

This setting is enforced at the per-user level. That means that one user in a peer-to-peer communication session might be allowed to transfer files while the other user is not.

    3. You can also have a look here New-CsFileTransferFilterConfiguration http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg425897.aspx

Hi Latest versions so that's good. I found this from another thread that fixed issues with two users not being able to login: - Uninstall Lync client from client machine - Backup the client registry - Delete client registry key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Communicator (User client settings) - Delete client registry key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shared\UCClient (Advanced connection settings) - Restart - Reinstall Lync client Also remove the communicator/lync info from the local computer under the users appdata and local. Turn on logging on the Lync client and see if there is any errors and post them here, regarding the filetransfer issue on the Win7 machines. /Tim

    Hi,

Is there any update on the issue?

Is there any issue when sending file from Windows 7 to Windows XP SP3? Have you log on another Lync account and send the files between with Windows 7 32bit and Windows 7 64bit?

For new issue, if the issue persists after trying suggestion Tim provided, I suggest you create a new post for the issue.

    Regards,

    Kent
