I am running XP pro and Office 2007 Pro. My system crashed when loading a youtube video and since then I cannot open Outlook. It does not give an error or anything ... it just loads the first page with the OUTLOOK 2007 LOGO and doesnt move. The hourglass just sits there and the computer doesnt sound like it is doing much of anything. I have left it for 30 mins and nothing has happened.
I tried to run Outlook in outlook safe mode to no avail. same thing.
I tried to backup my PST just in case and as soon as I click on the PST in explorer the whole machine locks up as well. The pst is quite large (4.8GB)
Prior to this issue, outlook was periodically shutting down when i would delete too many emails in a row (pressing delete over and over). To solve that issue, I just starting highlighting the emails and hitting delete once. Not sure if that might have anything to do with this but figured I would throw that out there.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what I could try PLEASE let me know!!
