Microsoft Office Professional 2010 Activation
- Whenever I open any of the Office Suite applications, I get: "You have only (1) day to activate......" The "click here to learn more about activation" doesn't show anything! What should I do now? Uninstall MS Office 2010 and re-install 2007? I also have Windows 7 beta (7200) which expires 3/1/2010. Sombody got some solutions? Thanks...

- Install the windows 7 release candidate, available as a free download from the microsoft website. Its good till June 2010. As for the activation of office 2010, I have no solution for that.
- The only solution for Office activation is to get it activated which is possible if you have a valid product key.
You only get the product key if you have enrolled for the CTP program of Office 2010.

- I had the same issue and then found this explanation on the Micosoft Connect Office 2010 downloads page. (it has pictures that aren't reproducible here so I'll add a brief description. (You can find the explanation here https://connect.microsoft.com/office/Downloads/DownloadDetails.aspx?DownloadID=20801 )
Use the following steps to verify the activation status of Office Professional 2010:
1. Open Word. Click the Office button, and then click on “Word”.
2. Does your screen look like this? [Picture shows "You have a license ... "] If so, you are activated!
We understand that this information is confusing and makes it seem like you are running in trial mode when in fact you are not. We also understand that when you click Licensing Operations and attempt to activate the trial it fails and says your product key is invalid. Please ignore these errors and do not try to activate the trial. It will never activate.
3. If your screen looks like this [Picture shows "Activate Product" logo] you are not activated
To activate Office Professional 2010 click Activate Product and follow the prompts. Make sure you are connected to the internet. If activation is not successful submit feedback using the form available on the Office 2010 Connect site.

- RJGT: Your post seems to have missed out on a 3rd type of case which is what mine seems to be!
I get the prompt asking me to activate Office 2010 TR - as usual, the link provided launches a blank screen.
Now when I check my Word properties under the Office button, it says (on the right) - You need to activate this product. To it's left, there's an icon which reads "Change Product Key" unlike what you've mentioned - "Activate product".
So what's my status and what do I do? It says I have 1 day left - will my product continue working?
