Tuesday, July 31, 2012 8:33 PMI purchased a new computer. I am trying to download office 2003. It requires I download 2000 before I can do 2003. I don't have my product key for 2000. How can I get one?

If you are saying that you have an upgrade version of Word 2003, you do need installation media for a qualifying product; there’s no way around that. I’m not sure where you can download either of these products these days (unless you have a TechNet or MSDN subscription).
[Edit:] I realize that I assumed missing product key = missing installation disc, which isn’t necessarily true. See Max’ reply.
