    SharePoint documents (word07 and excel07) with embedded links to files on SharePoint, when edited in local drafts folder, modifications made to a hyperlink seem to inadvertentlty trigger an update to other embedded links leaving them with a link to the to the local drafts folder instead of the SharePoint document locations.

    Please try to modify the following setting to see if it will solve your problem.

    1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Word/Excel Options.
    2. Click the Advanced.
    3. Under General, click Web Options.
    4. Click the Files tab.
    5. Click to clear the Update links on save check box.
    6. Click OK two times.

     

    If this doesn't address your problem, please provide the detail steps to reproduce your problem.
