    Windows XP Pro

    Office 2010 Pro

Five minutes after login OneNote opens a new untitled window.

OneNote is NOT in the Startup folder

OneNote icon is NOT in the notification area/system tray

OneNote is NOT listed in MSCONFIG

OneNote is NOT listed in the registry under HKLM or HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run or runonce

How do I get it to stop opening a new window???

For this issue, try to run a full scan with the up-to-date anti-virus software in safe mode. When finished, restart your Windows and check if this behavior will still occur.

If no virus found, and the behavior persists, try to run Windows in clean boot mode to trouble shoot this issue.

    Hello,

Also try running CCcleaner and fix the registry issues along with the solution provided by Max

    Can you post a screenshot?

And do you have any other applications running that have OneNote addins installed?
